Layers — Delete Your Account and Data

1. Deleting Your Account from Inside the App

You can delete your Layers account and its data at any time, directly in the app. No email or support request is required.

Open the Home tab.
Tap the profile icon in the top toolbar.
In Profile settings, scroll to Delete account.
Confirm twice. Deletion is irreversible, so the app asks you to confirm a second time before anything is removed.

2. What Gets Deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

Your account and sign-in credentials, including active sessions.
Your profile, including your name, style preferences, and profile photo.
The closets you own, together with the clothing items, outfits, wear logs, and collections inside them.
Your clothing items and their photos, wherever they were saved.
Your saved outfits and outfit photos.
Your collections, outfit calendar entries, wear history, and streaks.
Your stylist conversations and any images you shared with the stylist.
Your memberships in closets shared with you, and any invitations you sent or received.
Your notifications, subscription records, and marketing attribution records.

3. What Is Not Deleted

Closets owned by other people. If you were a member of a closet someone else owns, that closet and its owner’s content remain intact. Your membership is removed and you lose access, but their data is not deleted.
Your App Store subscription. Deleting your Layers account does not cancel a Layers Plus subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple and must be managed or cancelled in your App Store account settings. See our Terms of Service for details.
Data we are required to keep. As described in our Privacy Policy, your personal data is removed from our systems except where retention is required by law.

4. Timing

Deletion begins immediately and cannot be undone. Your account, closets, items, outfits, and photos are removed right away. A small amount of cleanup — notably your stylist conversation history — is processed in the background and completes shortly afterward.

5. Requesting Deletion by Email

If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by emailing [email protected] from the email address associated with your Layers account, so we can verify the request. We will process verified deletion requests within 30 days.
